STEPHEN ANDERSON

I often use ad slogans as a starting point of which I deconstruct it meaning as a sales tool, to a statement on our existence. The work takes a critical, sarcastic and humorous look on the human condition from the mundane to the profound and how we are searching for meaning or a purpose where often there is none. To step back and realize we are but a speck living on a planet in the vast universe should give humanity perspective and make our personal and global problems and egos quite small, So take the time to pause a moment and notice the beauty among us.

Stephen Anderson was born and raised in Southern California and has been creating artwork professionally since graduating from Cal State University Long Beach with a B.F.A. in Drawing & Painting / Intermedia in 1993.
